Over the years, Chairman Kennedy Ho and the AIGS Thailand Lab team have been compiling an extensive collection of inclusion micrographs. What began as an internal training manual for junior gemologists has evolved into this comprehensive volume, designed to accelerate the learning process by offering insights that typically take years to acquire. This compilation provides a solid foundation for junior gemologists, enabling them to achieve an in-depth understanding comparable to that of seasoned experts in a much shorter time.

The book showcases over 400 inclusions found in natural gemstones, as well as synthetic and treated ones. Gemscapes is particularly remarkable for its focus on inclusions in Rubies, Sapphires, Emeralds, and Spinels, accompanied by samples of distinctive inclusions that help determine gemstone origins from up to 14 different countries. Compiling enough inclusions from each origin to establish a reliable framework for origin determination has been a significant challenge.
