One day.
One voice.
One industry.April 8, 2026.

I am pleased to share some important news regarding a development related to the World Diamond Day.
Following strategic discussions and a recent agreement, the Natural Diamond Council will now lead the global development and promotion of World Diamond Day. This decisive step will accelerate the initiative’s growth and further unite stakeholders across the diamond industry.
Ten months of work have led to where we stand today: key organisations supporting World Diamond Day, supporters in 40 countries, more than 3.6 million potential followers, and, most importantly, a shared narrative and a campaign ready to be presented to the world.
We are proud of our journey and of what has been achieved. World Diamond Day has now found its natural home under the leadership of its new CEO, Amber Pepper. Our decision to pass on World Diamond Day to the NDC is, above all, a gesture in service of the natural diamond industry, one that places the Natural Diamond Council at the center of a shared initiative designed to unite the industry around a simple and powerful idea.
On the WDHB side, we will continue to develop meaningful initiatives for the benefit of the natural diamond industry.
I would like to thank the first industry supporter, Ronnie VanderLinden, President of IDMA, followed by Yoram Dvash, President of the WFDB, and, more importantly, Suresh Hathiramani, past President of the Diamond Exchange of Singapore, who from the very first day has worked behind the scenes to make this possible.
I would also like to acknowledge the hundreds of messages of support and encouragement received from across the industry over the past ten months. This support confirmed that what we have built is not only timely, but essential for the future of the industry.
Now let us all come together behind the Natural Diamond Council to make the first edition of World Diamond Day a great success.
One Day. One Voice. One united industry.
