The TorusRing™ is a carved and faceted gemstone with a circular portion removed from the center. Its design is based on the torus energy pattern observed in nature, e.g., the eye of a hurricane and the glowing rings of Saturn.
Corundum with a subtle mixture of pinkish orange to orangey pink with pastel tones and low to medium saturation when viewed in standard daylight is called “padparadscha.” However, according to the Laboratory Manual Harmonization Committee (LMHC, a group of representatives from highly respected gem laboratories), if a stone has major uneven color distribution when viewed with the unaided eye and table up, it is not a padparadscha.
As a result, this TorusRing™ is identified as a pink and orange bi-colored sapphire.
