The century-long legacy of Yuehao Jewelry is a story of Oriental aesthetics spanning generations. Originating in the 1920s in Shantou as “Taichang Jewelry Shop,” it has evolved into one of China’s leading jewelry wholesale enterprises, a vice-chairman corporate member of the Gems & Jewelry Trade Association of China (GAC), and a member of the Shanghai Gold Exchange. Behind this success lies its deep exploration of traditional culture, pursuit of craftsmanship excellence, and keen grasp of contemporary aesthetics.

Yuehao Jewelry’s cultural inheritance is not merely a collection of symbols but a profound integration that revitalizes culture in modern life. By blending Oriental aesthetics with modern design, gold transcends its status as a precious material to become a medium for culture and emotion.

Modern Expression of Wedding Culture

Yuehao Jewelry draws inspiration from rich wedding traditions. The “Most Beautiful Wedding Jewelry” series focuses on the wedding market, reinterpreting traditional wedding symbols like the “Nine Treasures” (e.g., scales, abacus, combs) in gold. The “Precious Hairpin Series” highlights traditional hair accessories adorned with auspicious motifs like goldfish, gourds, and lilies, offering diverse expressions for modern women. These include “step-shaking” hairpins that sway gracefully and luxurious phoenix hairpins, providing modern women with diverse options for personal expression.

Core Competitiveness: Craftsmanship, Innovation, and Breakthroughs

At Yuehao, jewelry is a language—crafted by hand, engraved with memories, and narrated through light and shadow. It is not just about making gold ornaments but reviving ancient techniques, ensuring every detail has warmth, quality, and soul.

Wood-inlaid Gold: A Breathing Craft Philosophy

After 4,380 days of experiments and 300 wood shrinkage tests, Yuehao pioneered the “Wood-inlaid Gold” technique in 2025. Inspired by the traditional “Wood-Gold Inlay” craft, it combines gold with rare wood like agarwood, ebony, and rosewood. This process involves three core procedures—flat inlay, raised inlay, and mixed inlay—and twelve intricate techniques, achieving aerospace-level precision. The result is a harmonious blend of wood’s simplicity and gold’s luxury, creating a breathing beauty filled with Oriental philosophy. Agarwood, known as the “diamond of woods,” undergoes a long and uncontrollable formation process, while ebony, referred to as “black gold of woods,” has been a royal favorite for centuries. The natural textures of these rare woods intertwine with the brilliance of gold, forming a unique visual tension of “gold hidden in wood.” Each piece of wood undergoes 3-5 years of natural air-drying to ensure stability.

Feather Inlay: A Feather-Light Oriental Poem

Reviving the nearly-lost craft of feather inlay, Yuehao combines gold with natural feathers, achieving precision down to 0.1mm. This craft was exclusive to royal families in ancient times, but now finds its way into daily life, reflecting natural brilliance and poetic elegance. Each feather is collected before the morning dew dries, and every inlay is meticulously crafted. Though feathers are not gemstones, they reflect an unparalleled natural radiance—close to the skin, like an unspoken poem. This traditional craft, once for the royal court only, is now brought into everyday life through the combination of gold and natural feathers.

Mother-of-Pearl Inlay: Oriental Radiance

The ocean nurtures miraculous gifts of nature. Yuehao selects premium mother-of-pearl from deep-sea shells, each with unique textures, luster, or iridescence formed over time. Through six core techniques and 19 intricate processes, Yuehao ensures perfection in every piece, adhering to strict “4C” standards: Craftsmanship, Cutting, Color, and Certification.

Diamond-Set: Masterful Precision

In the microcosm of gold set with diamonds, ingenuity and precision are paramount. The softness of gold and the hardness of diamonds, seemingly opposing materials, achieve harmony in Yuehao’s workshops. Veteran craftsmen with over 20 years of experience measure gold’s flexibility with their fingertips, while modern micrometer-level technology maps the diamond’s trajectory. The warmth of handcrafting and the precision of machinery work together to turn the impossible into reality. Thus, cold light gains warmth, and hardness becomes accommodating. Through repeated refinement, Yuehao extracts the essence of Oriental luxury, balancing strength and softness.

Cameo: Eternal Elegance

Each cameo originates from shells that have witnessed the ebb and flow of tides and the sparkle of stars. Artists use twelve exquisite techniques to carve floral and bird patterns onto the shells, imbuing them with a dynamic brilliance. While patterns may occasionally resemble one another, every cameo is a unique creation.

Elevating Aesthetics: Interpreting Oriental Happiness with a Global Vision

Yuehao Jewelry’s design philosophy is deeply rooted in Oriental culture while embracing a global perspective. In September 2025, Yuehao hosted the 2026 new jewelry collection exhibition themed “HAPPINESS · ELEVATED”. The design team spent a year traveling from the East to New York’s SoHo, gathering global expressions of happiness. Collaborating with Hollywood’s top creative team—including photographer Max Montgomery, visual director Matilda Montgomery, and New York stylist Jessi Butterfield—Yuehao creates its 2026 international campaign in SoHo’s art district. This cross-cultural creation not only integrates international thinking and contemporary trends but also pays tribute to elevated aesthetics, aiming to make gold jewelry more than just a symbol of wealth but a carrier of warmth, stories, and attitude.

A Leader in Oriental Aesthetics and Lifestyle

Yuehao has keenly captured a clear signal of the times: aesthetics are continuously evolving. The traditional value-retention attribute of jewelry no longer satisfies modern consumers, who now seek to express themselves, convey emotions, and preserve memories through jewelry. True luxury is the ability to withstand the test of time. Yuehao integrates global inspirations of happiness with century-old heritage techniques, endowing jewelry with a tangible sense of artistry.

Breaking away from the heaviness and impracticality of traditional gold jewelry, lightweight gold designs account for over 78% of Yuehao’s 2026 collection. While maintaining the design and texture of gold jewelry, the weight is significantly reduced, allowing gold to naturally integrate into daily life and making “carrying happiness with you” a lifestyle norm.

While staying rooted in cultural heritage, Yuehao actively embraces change through digital transformation and experiential upgrades, ensuring the century-old brand remains vibrant. “Xiao Hao Online,” Yuehao’s self-operated e-commerce platform for gold jewelry, leverages internet technology to offer pre-sales, smart recommendations, online selection, and live-streamed showcases. Yuehao has also introduced AI systems into its development process to adjust proportions and correct production precision, ensuring each piece retains the warmth of handcrafting while achieving the perfect balance of digital precision.

In 2025, Yuehao unveiled its Centennial Heritage Art Hall at the IBC Global Business Center, marking a significant experiential upgrade. This three-story space, inspired by the concept of “home,” blends Italian design language with Oriental philosophy, breaking away from the coldness of traditional jewelry showrooms. It features three themed museum exhibition areas—weddings, gifts, and Zen—combining product displays with cultural experiences. Customers can awaken the humanistic echoes of century-old craftsmanship through tactile interactions with the jewelry. These works, forged through a century of craftsmanship, embody dialogues between gold and other materials, tradition and the future, and the East and the world. Jewelry is no longer a cold decoration but a cultural carrier connecting the past and the future, the East and the world.

The essence of Yuehao Jewelry’s “century and inheritance” lies in using gold jewelry as a medium to deeply explore and innovatively interpret Oriental culture and aesthetics. By not only restoring traditional crafts but also integrating ancient culture into contemporary life and aesthetics, Yuehao leads the way in Oriental aesthetics and lifestyle trends through digital transformation and immersive showroom experiences.
