On the initiative of Assocoral, in collaboration with Italian Exhibition Group and Consorzio Corallo e Cammeo Torrese, the first jewellery summit specifically for marine raw materials will take place on 21st May 2026, in the Italian city of Torre del Greco – Naples. Leading institutional partners will include the Italian Trade Agency, Confindustria Federorafi, Confcommercio Federpreziosi, D.OR.Campania and, at an international level, CIBJO.

Territorial enhancement, connecting top quality production and promoting Italian know-how in the world: with these objectives Assocoral – the National Association of Coral, Cameos and Related Materials Producers – and Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), in collaboration with Consorzio Corallo e Cammeo Torrese, have announced the launch of Precious Sea Summit, the new encounter specifically for precious organic materials from the sea, scheduled to take place on 21st May 2026 in Torre del Greco (Naples) , a world-renowned centre for cameo and coral jewellery craftsmanship. The event aims to annually bring together the stakeholders involved not only in the coral jewellery and cameo supply chain, but in a wider universe that includes mother-of-pearls, shells and pearls of all types and origins.

Traceability, protection of marine resources, enhancement of ancient professions are just some of the challenges that the supply chain is currently having to face. Exploiting the experience of Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) / Vicenzaoro in strengthening the connection between local production chains and international trade fair platforms, the Precious Sea Summit will be a further opportunity for dialogue and discussion in order to identify shared strategies with the direct involvement of artisans, companies, designers, research centres, sector associations and institutional representatives. An ecosystem that reflects the wealth and complexity of Made in Italy, an excellence that combines innovation, sustainability and tradition.
“It is with great pride that we will be hosting, on an annual basis, a moment of high-level discussion on fundamental issues such as the sustainability of organic materials used in the jewellery world,” said Vincenzo Aucella, president of ASSOCORAL. “Collaboration with Italian Exhibition Group will allow us to trace, right from the first edition, a clear vision for the Summit’s future: a truly immersive experience with the extraordinary heritage of Torre del Greco at its centre. History, culture and the formation of an authentic territory, suspended between the sea and Vesuvius, where excellent artisan knowledge and traditions have been handed down for centuries.”

“We immediately accepted Assocoral’s proposal to stage a moment of in-depth analysis of the issues that echo internationally at Vicenzaoro, our reference hub for the global jewellery industry, also in the Torre district – explained Matteo Farsura, IEG’s Global Exhibition Manager for the Jewellery & Fashion division responsible for theinternational B2B agenda for the Vicenzaoro, Oroarezzo, JGTD in Dubai, SIJE in Singapore events -. Being close to the production districts means understanding their specificities, supporting their evolution and amplifying their voices on markets around the world. This is the vision that guides our role as a strategic platform that promotes collaboration between companies, institutions and trade associations, and whose best synthesis is Vicenzaoro. Precious Sea Summit is yet another event on our Jewellery Agenda, whose aim is to promote top Italian supply chains and with which we will be strengthening our presence on the jewellery market with 25 events in 2026 between trade shows, international initiatives and district events.”

TERRITORIAL IDENTITY, GLOBAL COMPETITIVENESS
Precious Sea Summit will be held in Torre, an internationally recognised symbol of Italian artisan tradition. As Gaetano Cavalieri, president of CIBJO, the World Jewellery Confederation and main partner of the event, pointed out: “ We are valorising a segment of Italian excellence, of precious objects and magnificent craftsmanship that has been handed down for centuries. A tradition of dedication and daily application, especially in coral and cameo work for which Torre del Greco has always been an international point of reference. I believe it strongly deserves to be brought to the sector’s attention, both nationally and internationally, as an emblematic example of how territorial identity and global competitiveness can coexist and generate value.”

A SHARED PROJECT THAT AIMS AT THE FUTURE
Collaboration with sector representative ensures Precious Sea Summit’s authentic and locally rooted approach that will enable it to translate the needs of the sector into concrete contents and development prospects. Central to the event will be the role of young people and the transmission of a unique legacy of know-how to new generations. In fact, the initiative already enjoys the patronage of the Italian Trade Agency, Confindustria Federorafi, Confcommercio Federpreziosi, D.OR.Campania, Federalberghi Costa del Vesuvio. Organised in synergy with the Municipality of Torre del Greco and the Banca di Credito Popolare, which will host the round table, moderated by Giovanni Micera , chief editor of the sector’s Preziosa Magazine, media partner together with the jewellery magazine VO+, at its head offices in Palazzo Vallelonga. The programme will also include a trip to the “Francesco Degni” Art School, workshops and the Coral Museum.
“We are sure that our professionals and companies will once again manage to showcase the best of their work and their indisputable operational capacity for which we are world famous. Space will also be given to the excellence of the training courses we offer young people in order to ensure continuity,” commented Mayor of Torre del Greco Luigi Mennella in thanking the organisers and Italian Exhibition Group in particular “which wanted to confirm the potential of Torre companies by choosing our city to host this prestigious annual summit.”
