The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), the organizer, together with the Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (Public Organization) or GIT, co-organizer, successfully opened the 73rd Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair on February 22, 2026 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC), Bangkok. The event is expected to generate trade value exceeding 150 million USD.

How important is the Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair (BGJF) to Thailand’s gems and jewelry industry?

  • BGJF is a key driver of Thailand’s gems and jewelry industry and the broader economy. The sector spans the full supply chain, employs over 800,000 people, and includes around 13,000 SMEs—more than 90% of which are small and medium-sized enterprises. Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair has been held for over 40 years at a national level. What are some of the key highlights or new initiatives of the 73rd Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair?

  • BGJF is one of the world’s leading international gems and jewelry trade fairs and a key event on the global business calendar. Beyond a marketplace, it serves as a comprehensive industry platform—offering several seminars, networking and partnership opportunities, curated activities, and on-site gem testing and certification services.

  • BGJF brings together leading Thai jewelry brands and manufacturers, including prominent OEM and ODM suppliers producing for global markets. It is also the world’s largest marketplace for colored gemstones, with the gemstone sector occupying more than half of the exhibition space.
  • The 73rd edition expanded into the Plenary Hall (1st Floor) to accommodate rising international demand, adding approximately 180 booths. This edition features 1,209 exhibitors and 2,781 booths from 19 countries.
