The Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (Public Organization), or GIT, has officially announced the 8th International Gem and Jewelry Conference (GIT 2025) to take place under the theme “Responsible Gem & Jewelry Supply Chain.”
This event strongly insists Thailand’s position as a leading academic and innovation center for the gem and jewelry industry in the region. Renowned experts and thought leaders from around the world will gather to exchange knowledge, explore the latest trends, present cutting-edge research, and discuss strategies to advance the industry in line with global environmental and social sustainability goals. The conference will also serve as a platform to foster international collaboration across public, private, and academic sectors, with the aim of positioning Thailand as a global leader in gem and jewelry innovation.
GIT 2025 will be held at the Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok, Thailand, from 8-9 September 2025.
Mr. Sumed Prasongpongchai, Director General of The Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (Public Organization), or GIT revealed “The event aims to reaffirm Thailand’s role as a leading academic hub in the gem and jewelry industry in the region. GIT 2025 will serve as a global platform that brings together world-renowned experts, academics, researchers, designers, entrepreneurs, investors, and key stakeholders from across the gem and jewelry supply chain.
The conference will feature knowledge-sharing sessions, academic presentations, and discussions focused on innovation within the industry, with a particular emphasis on sustainability. This year’s event will promote the adoption of environmentally responsible technologies and best practices throughout the supply chain, reinforcing the commitment to sustainable development in the gem and jewelry sector.
Participants from both public and private sectors, academia, and industry organizations from Thailand and abroad have confirmed their attendance, including the Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association, the Gold Traders Association, and the Gemological Institute of America (GIA).”
