Chinese Elements, Global Expression; National Jade Promotes Oriental Aesthetics


On September 10, the 2025 “Boundless National Jade – Chinese Elements, Global Expression” Global Jewelry Design Invitational Award Ceremony and Art Gala were held at MGM Shenzhen. The event brought together award-winning designers, international judges, industry leaders, and cultural scholars from over ten countries, including China, Italy, and South Korea, to witness the perfect fusion of Chinese jade culture and modern design. As part of the Oriental Imagery Fashion Festival (China) series, the competition, themed “Boundless National Jade – Chinese Elements, Global Expression,” aims to discover and nurture jewelry design talent through a fair, just, and open global competition. It seeks to promote international exchange and commercial transformation, foster innovative integration of Chinese elements with modern design, break industry homogenization, and explore innovative paths for “Chinese Elements, Global Expression,” injecting new vitality and creativity into the global jewelry industry.

The event unveiled a major award and simultaneously launched the “Global Platform for 100 Renowned Jewelry Designers’ Creative Designs.”

The competition was hosted by the Shenzhen Gold and Jewelry Cultural Research Association – Chinese Jade Culture Promotion Center, co-hosted and exclusively sponsored by Xizang National Jade Jewelry Culture Co., Ltd., and supported by the Global Platform for 100 Jewelry Designers’ Creative Designs.

The award ceremony began with a speech by Mr. Cao Yang, Chairman of the Organizing Committee and President of the Shenzhen Gold and Jewelry Cultural Research Association. He elaborated on the profound significance of the competition, emphasizing the mission of showcasing Chinese culture on the global stage through contemporary design.

Following this, Mr. Liu Shengchun, Chairman of Xizang National Jade Jewelry Culture Co., Ltd., highlighted the cultural significance of jade in China and its role in promoting Chinese Kunlun Mountain Hetian jade on the international stage.

International Perspective and Professional Standards
The competition’s success was supported by an authoritative panel of judges, including renowned experts and professors from international institutions. European Jury Chair Barbara Brocchi praised the high quality and diversity of the entries, while Asian Jury Chair Zheng Jing emphasized the importance of using innovative design as a bridge to globalize Chinese elements.

Glorious Moments, Boundless Design
The award ceremony reached its climax with the announcement of winners. The first prize was jointly awarded to Chinese designer Ma Chao and South Korean designer Ikchan Lee for their outstanding works that combined Chinese cultural elements with innovative design.

Wisdom Sharing and Trend Insights
During the intermission, guest speakers shared insights on the global potential of Chinese element jewelry and the transformation of traditional cultural symbols into modern design language.
