Truly Precious is now a legal Foundation in the Netherlands. Our founders, Danielle Keller Aviram, Véronique Ribbink, Tatjana Li, and Joy Harvey, welcome you to share this journey with them!
Truly Precious was founded to share and enable research that provides dependable data, which is valuable in understanding the state of sustainable practices in the jewellery supply chain.
While our long-term goal is creating a knowledge-sharing space to foster and cultivate reliable data we desperately need, we need a strong worldwide community that can share their grassroots knowledge and stir research towards what is necessary.
For this reason, nearly a year ago, Truly Precious, with the help of independent jeweller, consultant and educator Ana Brazaityte, has created a new, free, worldwide platform to encourage knowledge sharing, connection and learning opportunities to and for any stakeholder along the supply chain, from miners to jewellers, from cutters to industrial makers.

Our main project, which will help share, understand, and improve data regarding sustainable practices along the whole jewellery supply chain, is still in its seeding phase.

The founders of Truly Precious:
Danielle Keller A specialized sustainable jewelry consultant, researcher, and lecturer, focusing on jewelry and accessories. An alumna of Shenkar’s Jewelry Design Department, she hold a Master’s degree in Sustainable Fashion from AMD Berlin.
She works with jewelry-related organizations and businesses, including RJC and CIBJO, developing sustainable strategies. Her expertise extends to writing about sustainable jewelry and fashion for prominent magazines like Rapaport Magazine and JCK.
In recent years, she lectured and conducted workshops on the intersection of sustainability and design, emphasizing on jewelry and accessories, at notable institutions and events such as Berlin Fashion Week, London College of Fashion, Kolding University of Design in Denmark among other professional conferences.
Véronique Ribbik is a jewelry designer and maker, based in Amsterdam.
Her journey to jewelry design began in an unexpected way. Initially a successful conference interpreter, she made a career shift after completing a goldsmithing course. Véronique then apprenticed under renowned goldsmiths and went on to study Jewelry Design at the University of the Arts in London. Further refining her craft, she completed an intensive training in optical diamond setting with one of the world’s best setters.
In 2023 Véronique launched her own jewelry brand, Eve Sparkles, where she creates unique, high-quality pieces as well as small exclusive series. Her designs feature rings, bracelets, and earrings made from 14, 18, and 22-carat gold, meticulously set with sapphires, spinels, and garnets of all colours. Every gemstone is carefully sourced, ensuring an ethical and transparent supply chain.
Véronique’s approach to jewelry goes beyond aesthetics—she seeks to bring happiness to everyone involved in the process, from the miner to the wearer.
Tatjana Li, originally from Idar-Oberstein, Germany’s Gemstone Center, developed a passion for gemstones early on, leading her to become a gemologist after earning an MBA. With almost 20 years of experience in the jewellery industry, particularly in Greater China, she has been deeply involved in gemstone dealing, jewellery manufacturing, and consulting for renowned companies. Recognizing the industry’s need for transformation, Tatjana pursued advanced studies at MIT, Columbia University, and the University of Oxford, focusing on Digital Transformation and Blockchain Technology. She now channels her expertise into Nobel Facets, a sustainable gemstone and jewellery sourcing platform.
Joy Harvey is an artisanal independent jewellery artist with a focus on sustainability and responsible sourcing. In 2021 she co-founded la luce, her jewellery studio, which blends traditional artisanal techniques and a conscious and controlled supply chain. From Fairmined gold and silver to renewable energy she believes that every company should strive to have a positive impact on the planet and the people. For this reason, la luce has become a certified B-corp in 2024. Each piece she creates is one of a kind and completely handmade in her Italian studio. Her jewellery has been recognised in the LVMH Mestieri D’Eccellenza prize (finalist) and the Boghossian Foundation Jewellery Prize (winner) in 2024 and she was awarded the inaugural Vacheron Constantin and the Metropolitan Museum of Art artisan residency in 2025.
The Collaborator of Truly Precious:
Ana Brazaityte is the owner, designer, and maker of Truss and Ore Jewelry based in Berkeley, California (unceded Ohlone land) as well as Consultant and Education Director at Christina T. Miller Sustainable Jewelry Consulting. After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Art in 2011, Ana turned her focus to metalworking and started her jewelry company in 2014. Ana is also an active member of Ethical Metalsmiths and volunteers her time and expertise with the Jewelry Glossary Project.
