Informa Markets Thailand, in collaboration with the Department of Industrial Promotion (Ministry of Industry), the Gem and Jewelry Industry Group of the Federation of Thai Industries, the Thai Chamber of Commerce, associations, and business partners, hosted the Jewellery & Gem ASEAN Bangkok 2025 (JGAB 2025). This prominent ASEAN jewellery and gemstone trade show took place from April 23–26, 2025, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. The event aims to position Thailand as the jewellery and gemstone hub of the region, promoting sustainable growth for the industry and global market opportunities.

The JGAB 2025 show serves as a major international platform for showcasing products, knowledge exchange, business networking, and creating new opportunities for designers and entrepreneurs worldwide, especially highlighting the capabilities and craftsmanship of Thai producers.

Mrs. Duangdow Khawjaroen, Deputy Director General, Department of Industrial Promotion, Ministry of Industry, noted Thailand’s competitive edge in the jewellery sector—from skilled craftsmanship and contemporary design to high-quality materials and robust logistics infrastructure. These strengths have long positioned Thailand as a critical production base and connector within the ASEAN gem industry. She emphasized that JGAB 2025 reflects a united effort among public and private sectors and all levels of enterprises—large, medium, and SMEs—to elevate Thailand’s gem and jewellery industry to be competitive regionally and globally.

In the first seven months of 2024 (January–July), Thailand’s gem and jewellery exports totaled USD 9.3 billion, a 13.86% increase compared to the same period in 2023. The sector ranks third in Thailand’s export industries, accounting for 5.44% of total exports. Excluding unshaped gold exports, the actual value of gem and jewellery exports reached USD 5.1 billion, marking a 6.65% year-on-year increase.

JGAB 2025 is not only a trade fair but also a platform for knowledge sharing, business development, and global exposure—particularly for new-generation entrepreneurs and designers. In today’s landscape, creativity, technology, and collaboration are key drivers of the creative economy.

The Ministry of Industry will continue supporting policies and proactive initiatives to develop Thai businesses across all dimensions—innovation, design, value addition, and access to new markets—with cooperation from every sector.

Mr. Manu Leopairote, Chairman, Informa Markets Thailand and organizer of JGAB, emphasized that JGAB 2025 is an ASEAN-level event formed by cross-sectoral collaboration to uplift the jewellery and gemstone industry with sustainability at its core—through innovation, creativity, and international market integration. He expressed pride in supporting Thailand’s rise as a regional trading and production hub and extended gratitude to all government agencies, associations, and businesses for making this event a reality.

Taking place in over 17,000 sqm at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, JGAB 2025 featured more than 400 exhibitors from 15 countries, including leading businesses from China, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, Singapore, and Turkey. 10,663 industry professionals and buyers from across ASEAN and globally—including from mainland China, the Philippines, Singapore, Cambodia, Malaysia, India, Vietnam, Japan, South Africa, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Australia, Hong Kong SAR, Germany, and the USA — attended.

Mr. Sanchai Noombunnam, Country General Manager – Informa Markets Thailand, shared that JGAB 2025 will not only facilitate business discussions between Thai enterprises and global players but also empower Thai SMEs related to the gem and jewellery sector to showcase their handcrafted products on the international stage.
