The second round of public consultation for the Blue List lexicon will end on June 12, 2026, and the World Jewellery Confederation (CIBJO) is urging all interested parties to submit their comments by that date.

The Blue List Responsible Jewellery Supply Chain Lexicon, is being developed by a dedicated cross-industry committee within CIBJO as a harmonised set of definitions of words and terms to be used to describe responsible supply chains and sustainability, especially when marketing jewellery, ensuring that they are accurate, substantiated, clear and easily understood by all stakeholders and consumers.

The second round of public consultation, which began on April 16, 2026, was scheduled to run for two months. It followed the first round, which ran from May 5 to September 6, 2025, during which CIBJO’s Jewellery Industry Supply Chain Nomenclature Committee received a number of recommended amendments to the original draft.

CIBJO invited a wide range of industry and external experts to participate in the public review of The Blue List but has also sought contributions from all interested industry members.
