by AIGS

After years of waiting, AIGS will finally host the first in-person graduation ceremony since the pandemic. Taking place in September 2025, this long-awaited event marks more than just a milestone—it’s a celebration of resilience, learning, and our global gemological community.

We’ll also be hosting a special Alumni Connect event following the ceremony. We’ve extended invitations to graduates from the past 47 years to return to Bangkok, creating a unique opportunity for our newest graduates to meet, engage, and network with the many talented alumni who’ve walked through our halls. I truly believe in the power of international networking and mentorship, which is why we’re also organizing a sharing session and live Q&A featuring some of our most accomplished alumni and respected industry professionals. It’s a rare and valuable moment to learn from real-world experiences, ask questions, and leave inspired.

To further support the connection between our alumni and students, we’ve relaunched the AIGS Alumni groups on Facebook and LinkedIn. These spaces offer our students and graduates a place to stay connected, share updates, discover industry innovations, and continue building meaningful professional networks.

We’ll be announcing the exact date and time of both the graduation and alumni events on our official website and social media channelsFacebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X (formerly Twitter)—so please stay tuned!

Explore with AIGS: A New Way to Learn

We’ve launched a fun and informative mini-series on our social media called “Explore with AIGS.” In each short episode, we take you along as we visit gem fairs, gem markets, cutting factories, jewelry shops, and other exciting places in the gem world. It’s our way of helping students and followers discover interesting facts and industry stories—right from their screens!

Continuous Improvement, Always

We’ve been busy improving our resources too. We’ve updated our master set, and revised our Colorstone Manual, Diamond Manual, and Gem Identification Book. To better support our Colorstone students, we’ve also introduced a brand-new Hue, Tone, and Saturation chart poster.

A Truly Global Classroom

This year’s Session 1 of the Accredited Gemologist program welcomed a full house of students from all over the world—including Bhutan, Brazil, France, Myanmar, India, the US, Canada, Thailand, and Nepal. Watching students from such different backgrounds come together with a shared passion for gemology is always inspiring.

And we’re only getting started — Sessions 2 and 3 of 2025 are on the way, and I’m hopeful they’ll be just as vibrant and diverse.

For those considering joining us, we now offer the Accredited Gemologist Course in three languages: English, Thai, and Chinese.

AIGS Smart Bundle: A Complete Learning Experience

One of the most exciting updates I’d like to share is the increasing demand for our Jewelry Design courses, especially the Jewelry Design (Manual) and the Intensive Jewelry Design and Sketching with Procreate (using iPad).

To make things easier—and more rewarding—we’ll soon be launching the AIGS Smart Bundle: a special promotional package that includes the Accredited Gemologist Course, Jewelry Design (Manual), and Intensive Jewelry Design with Procreate. It’s an amazing opportunity for those looking to combine gemological expertise with creative design skills.
